The infamies that have eaten the behavior and sanity of the people in government, from the first family down to their loyal servants and minions have likewise eroded the principle and ethical standard of some media organization. Known personalities in broadcast and print media are serving as frontline defenders of the bad guys ensconced in Malacanang Palace.
Envelopmental journalism has long been part of the system since the lady mafia boss was put to the seat of power. Government owned TV, radio and print are being used in defending corruptions and many anomalies in government. They peddled lies of a promising future for the country.
Private media groups are the principal beneficiary of big media propaganda funds. They are efficient in offense and defense kind of tactics which is obviously being used in their daily TV and radio programs. While in print, columnists and editors write their biased opinion which often lacks integrity and fall short of credibility in the bar of public opinion.
Today’s Philippine media has gone wayward. The journalistic principle has completely diminished for the past years. They are no longer dedicated to their sworn duty of truth and justice. All they know is their own self interests like what politicians do in their lifetime. Perhaps they were already affected by the disease of cancer of corruption in high places. What an infamy; it certainly spares no one not even the men of faith.
