Country artist Garth Brooks may be on his way back to his country music fans and to providing them stage performances of his great country music songs. It’s been reported Brooks is ready to end his tour in Las Vegas but he’ll not leave without sharing his final performance at Wynn’s Encore Theater in Las Vegas with CBS for a televised viewing by the public of his last one man show performance. It will air live from Las Vegas on Friday, November 29, 2013 at 9 p.m. ET on CBS.
The televised viewing will run through some of Brooks ‘own biggest hits as well as sharing stories of how other artists such as Merle Haggard, George Jones, James Taylor, Bob Seger, Simon & Garfunkel, and many others influenced him throughout his life.
Brooks will demonstrate and perform some of his classics and how those who influenced him early in life helped to shape his own music which brought forth the great performer he became.
Brooks has always been a talented action packed performer and he’s drawn attention to his performances throughout the world. People love his down home earthy songs and the manner in which he performs them. It’s my opinion when Brooks belts out his songs, they came directly from his heart and it was obvious fans could feel every word he was singing? Its obvious Brooks believes in the songs and he puts his “all” into every one of them. His method won me over many years ago because I “believe” in what he sings.
It’s my belief a “real” singer must feel it deep in their soul and belt it out as they’re feeling it, without feelings a song does not mean a thing to me. A singer must make a listener believe what they’re singing.
Brooks was the last of six children and music filled the life blood of his family. Every child in the family had their own favorite type of music; and of course, this all tapped into Brooks soul to shape “Garth Brooks” the real performer.
The Boot.Com reported Jack Sussman, Executive Vice President, and Specials & Events at CBS as saying, “We’re thrilled whenever we get the opportunity to create a television event with an amazing live performer, and there is no one better than Garth Brooks.”
Brooks’ performance includes classic hits and music that became the soundtrack of his life and how other musicians who had influenced his music from country, rock and pop worlds put him on the road to becoming the “biggest selling solo artist” in history.
Personally I was surprised when Brooks decided to come out of semi-retirement for a gig in Las Vegas but I’m glad he did. He is rumored to be planning an album and a tour for 2014 after his youngest daughter graduates; of course, he has not publicly commented on this rumor.
