Jammu, September 21 (Scoop News) – A delegation of Regional Committee CPI(M), Jammu comprising of Comrades Sham Prasad Kesar, Regional Secretary, Om Prakash, Javaid Zargar, Kishore Kumar and Banarsi Dass met All Party Delegation at Jammu and put forth its view point in respect of prevailing political uncertainity in the state.
The Committee has expressed extreme concern over the recent spate of killings of young people in Kashmir. The Committee believes that the core issue i.e. ” Kashmir Issue” need to be addressed as per the aspirations of the people of the state.
The Committee CPI(M), demanded restoration of autonomy to the state can prove to be a mile stone in resolving the alienation of the people of the state.
Unabated human rights violation needs to be stopped forthwith. The adherence to zero tolerance as assured none other than the Hon’ble Prime Minister from time to time needs to be implemented on ground.
Employment package for unemployed youth of the state whose number is estimated to be more than 5 lacs need to be given at the earliest to channelize the energy of the youth towards productive and constructive areas.
Improving the living conditions of Kashmiri migrants in the camps till their rehabilitation in the valley, enhancement of cash relief to at least Rs.8000/- per month as recommended by the state government, settlement of pension cases in time, issuing of orders for candidates selected recently by the Service Selection Board and expediting the process of selection of remaining 3000 posts for migrants.
The recommendations made by Five Working Groups constituted by GOI need to be implemented at the earliest. Construction of identified power projects on River Chinab and Jehlum need to be expedited for speedy development and generation of job opportunities for youth of the state. Recommendation in respect of handing over of 390 MW Dul Hasti Power project to the State made by the Working Group headed by Dr.C.Rangarajan should be implemented in letter and spirit.
The problems of refugees of 1947, 1965 and 1971 need to be redressed on priority as they have been suffering badly over the years.
