Just like fore-fathers said, the way to destruction is widest. People in Meru awoke up yesterday lucky after a tank full of gasoline overturned. News of that accident greeted many who lived in a nearby slum in joy. The slum dwellers ran to the accident site with buckets and pipes ready to siphon any remaining fuel.
It was chaos as thousands of people struggled to scoop the scarce commodity. Seeing from the faces of some, one would think God had sent manna. Police arrive 30 minutes late only to find an empty tanker and an injured driver.
Such accidents have progressively increased in the past 1 month and some measures need to implemented. It is not a month past, when a gas pipe exploded in Sinai village and killed hundreds of people. My question to fellow Kenyans , why risk ones life after seeing many following the same path.
