According to the National Coalition Against Domestic Violence, more than 10 million women and men are victims of physical violence by an intimate partner in the United States. On a typical day, there are more than 20,000 phone calls placed to domestic violence hotlines nationwide. This October during Domestic Violence Awareness Month, Crystal Clear Acne Clinic is partnering with Empowerhouse, a non-profit organization providing domestic violence assistance in the area, for a product-swap to help victims of abuse.
“Domestic violence is a serious problem in America and we want to do our part to help those in need,” affirms Crystal Wellman, master aesthetician and owner of Crystal Clear Acne Clinic. “Empowerhouse provides a free 24-hour hotline, a temporary emergency shelter, information and advocacy.”
During the month of October, Crystal Clear Acne Clinic is offering a 20% discount on any Crystal Clear skin care products in exchange for donated new or gently used products. All products brought in will be donated to Empowerhouse, who will distribute the products in sample-size containers to those coming into the emergency shelter.
