To popularize Golf and raise financial resources for the Club, the Committee considered the proposal for offering corporate/tenure membership to banks, hotels, central government officials etc and asked for initiating necessary measures in this regard.
In order to assist the Executive Committee in running the affairs of the Club smoothly and efficiently, the Chief Secretary said that the various sub-committees of the Club should have well defined roles and functions to perform. He also stressed on computerization and auditing of all accounts and related matters by the end of this year.
The Chief Secretary also called for following proper procedure in hiring the service of an expert consultant, who will prepare a project report on improving the course area for submission to the government. He also called for preparing detailed project reports for improvement in the basic infrastructure of the Club for consideration and necessary approval.
The Executive Committee also agreed to enhance the salaries of the employees of Kashmir Golf Club in its meeting today.
The meeting was attended by Principal Secretary to Chief Minister B. B. Vyas, Commissioner Secretary Tourism Atal Dulloo, Director Tourism Farooq Ahmad Shah, Members, Ali Mohammad Watali, S. R. S Madni, Mushtaq Rahim and Naseer Ahmad Kachroo.
