Jammu,February 25 (Scoop News) – Chief Secretary, Madhav Lal today stressed the need for sharing and learning of experiences between J&K and neighbouring States for achieving better results of the programmes and schemes in vogue.
Chairing the preparatory meeting for holding meeting of Chief Secretaries of North Zone Council, the Chief Secretary said there is a need for looking from a common angle at issues facing the States with similar problems and conditions.
The Chief Secretaries meeting would be followed by the meeting of Chief Minister’s of North Zone States to be chaired by the Chief Minister, Omar Abdullah.
Madhav Lal asked administrative secretaries to prepare the points in their respective sectors they wish to be taken up during the council meet.
The Chief Secretary also got appraisal of the action taken report of the last meeting of the Chief Ministers’ North Zone council in sectors like health, power, PHE, Agriculture and other areas.
Later, chairing a meeting of apex projects clearance committee, the Chief Secretary asked the concerned departments to advise setting up of eco-friendly projects while formulating project reports. He said the Government is willing to make more and more investment is in Industrial sector so that it helps in tiding over the unemployment problem as well as strengthen the State’s economy.
Principal Secretary Agriculture, Mohammad Iqbal Khanday, Principal Secretary Planning & Development, Khursheed Ahmad Ganaie, Commissioner Secretary Finance, Sudhanshu Pandey, Commissioner Secretary Power, Basharat Ahmad Dar, Commissioner Secretary Industries, Umang Narula, Secretary General Administration, Mohammad Sayed Khan, Secretary Rural Development, Yedullah, Secretary Revenue, Ejaz Iqbal and other officers attended these meetings.
