For these cultists, the end of the world has not come; yet. The world is still standing. Everything is fully intact. Everybody is still living and breathing. Sorry guys, the end of the world has not come. However, it is unknown how these cultists will take it. It’s nearing May, in which, they think when the world will come to its end.
Seven cult members, all women, have come out of a cave located near the village of Nikolskoye. The village is located about 400 miles southeast of Russia’s capital, Moscow. Apparently, the Christian cult expected the world to come to an end; which is why they were holed up in the cave ever since November.
November of 2007 has come and passed. Now it is nearing the end of March 2008. The world is still spinning on its axis. Nope, there are definitely no signs that the end of the world has approached.
Back in November, about 35 cult members, including the 7 women holed themselves in the cave. But, they threatened to detonate canisters of gas if the authorities tried to kick them out of the cave.
It is expected that more will come out of the cave soon.
The authorities needed much help to get the cult members to leave. It was the combined efforts of the government, the committed cult leader Pyotr Kuznetsov, and the Russian Orthodox Church to get the cult members to give up and get out of the cave.
Kuznetsov has been confined to the funny farm since November.
Interestingly enough, the means of communication was rather difficult. It is highly doubtable that the cult members had any electronic or radio equipment. The only way to communicate with the cult members was through a small chimney pipe.
Who knows what is going to happen afterwards? Will the cult members actually leave the cave or remained holed up? More important, is the end of the world really going to take place in May?
I hope not, I want to be alive in order to catch season 3 of Heroes known as “Villains.”
The most important question of them all is: We’re they getting “busy” while waiting for the end of the world?
