Heritage Business School which is one of the premier management institutes in the country has recently organized a conclave on 24th February, 2015 with the theme of education and cross cultural cooperation among SAARC countries. The aim of this conclave was to enlighten the students on the need for cultural cooperation so that they would have a fair idea on what worked best in cross cultural situations.
A Glittering Ceremony
A glittering ceremony was held on campus that was presided over by the Honorable Governor of West Bengal, Shree Keshari Nath Tripathi and also the Education Minister Shree Partha Chatterjee. This star studded event was held with dignitaries from all across the globe including Sri Lanka, Bhutan and Belarus.
The highlight of the event was how to preserve the South Asian cultural heritage in the context of globalization. The objective was to facilitate exchange of ideas and views among the students on how to set the tone for a free exchange of opinions and beliefs across different cultural spectra.
A Heart to Heart Discussion
This was followed by a heart to heart discussion by a panel of eminent dignitaries. This provided a platform to the students to share their ideas and views and get their queries answered in a friendly academic environment.
The panel included dignitaries across the globe and gave the students ample scope to get invaluable knowledge from the experts and gave them an opportunity to showcase their talent by coming up with interesting and intriguing questions and queries.
This heart to heart discussion helped for a smooth flow of ideas and concepts that helped in gaining better knowledge.
Unity in Diversity:
This event provided the students with exposure across spectra of cultures across the South Asian subcontinent and this provided them with the idea of unity in diversity. The fact remains that for cross cultural cooperation to take place, we must believe in the idea of unity in diversity and this fact can only help in gaining better expertise as far as the cultural domain is concerned.
Thus, the conclave was a huge success and helped students gain valuable insights from the experts.
