Curfew imposed in Kabal area of
Swat District to give save way to troops move ahead
SWAT (MANGORA): Curfew imposed in Swat area for movement of troops. Law enforcement agencies (authorities) Wednesday clamped a 10-hour curfew in Kabal (Swat) town from Wednesday 8pm to Thursday 6am, an officer disclosed to this scribe.
Amjad Iqbal, in charge of Swat media centre, informed local journalists that curfew has been imposed to give ‘cover’ to security forces engaged in clashes with militants. He said that during curfew hours no one be allow to move freely on roads so as to give a safeguard to our forces for movement to their destinations.
He said that troops have occupied again the area in the vicinity of Kabal town and moving forward to Imam Dehri, where there is stronghold of Maulana Fazlullah a local Taliban leader.
Besides it , security forces continued their drive against armed local Taliban (militants) In the non-stop operation four members of a family including a woman and her three children were killed in Kabal area.
Artillery shells hit the house of a one Shal in Kala Kallay killing his wife and three children as exchange of artillery fire between militants of Fazlullah and security forces continued.
Militants loyal to Fazlullah attacked security forces at Golf Course ground injuring two personnel while they also targeted forces in Kabal from three directions with heavy weapons; however no loss of life has so far been reported in this regard. The militants also attacked on a convey of security forces but there is no casualty report except of two injuries in their attack.
Gunship helicopters pounded hideouts of militants in Kort area of Charbagh while forces have made advancement from Karora to Alpuri, the headquarters of Shangla district. Some local people also dislike the present situation and wants for finishing this scenario and like peaceful atmosphere.
On the other hand, people continued migrating to safer places from Swat and Shangla. Affected people migrating to other safe places so as to save their lives and property from shelling of security forces as well as local Talivan (militants).
