D Day For Saja

It is typical that when the older brother loses the spotlight, he becomes jealous and wants to look for another role.  This is the reality of the moment after Ramón Díaz replaced Oscar Ruggeri a few weeks ago.  This was the beginning of the end in the eyes of the fiery keeper as Agustín Orión has captured the eye of the new coach.

This is the case with San Lorenzo’s charismatic goalkeeper.  He is presently at a crossroads in his career and has to make a decision as to his future with the club.  His starting jobs, along with the possible departure of Ezequiel Lavezzi to River Plate are the reasons for him to leave.  One possible replacement for Lavezzi could be former San Lorenzo and current Sporting Lisboa (team he is currently on loan to) forward Leandro Romagnoli.

Saja will meet today with club president Rafael Savino and define his status with El Ciclón.

The latest reports coming out of Argentina are that Lanús as well as FC Köln are hot on his heels and he would be happy to oblige.  “I am accustomed to being a starter,” said Saja yesterday to La Nacion.  He should have his future defined within the next 48 hours.
