It is important to mention here that the authorities has imposed ban on transportation of building materials in the area.
The protesters demanded a compensation of Rs 6 crores per kanal for their land in which Golf Course has been set up. The protesters said that land under Hotel Taj Vivanta in Kralsangri and Tulip Garden is their ancestral land and demanded that either the government pay the compensation of Rs. 6 crores per kanal or return the land to their rightful owners.
The demonstrators said that the presence of school and Darul-ul-Aloom in the New Theid clearly indicates that the area does not come under green belt area and LAWDA has no right to dismantle any structure in the area.
The protestors demanded the dismantling of palatial houses, five star hotels and lodges constructed by influential people in Kralsangri and adjoining areas and setting up a forest city in the area.
Local political leaders expressed their sympathy with the locals of New Theid whose ancestral land has been acquired in Kralsangri and who were settled in New Theid and Dachigam areas. They urged the government to provide compensation to the locals as per current market rate.
