Los Angeles — Exodus Cymbals, a true innovator in the art of cymbal making, has added world-class drummer, Dan Caro, to its roster of endorsers. Having Caro as an endorser furthers Exodus’ commitment to building its brand worldwide. The company already has a strong presence in the Latin American and Far East markets. Now, Exodus is committed to gain recognition in the United States/North American cymbal markets.
This makes Caro an ideal endorser. Demonstrating diversity over his career, Dan Caro is considered a legend among Louisiana jazz drummers and other well-respected musicians. He has toured the country, played with greats like George Porter Jr., Stanton Moore and Jason Marsalis. Caro has also performed with Santana. He has been on PBS, on Montel Williams’ show, and countless others. In addition to his impressive playing career, Caro is an author, instructor and motivational speaker.
While discussing why he selected to endorse Exodus Cymbals, Caro noted that: “Exodus Cymbals represents the sounds and qualities of the highest inspiration through their handmade craftsmanship. In addition to their aesthetic qualities, Exodus Cymbals has succeeded in creating unique cymbals for every type of player ranging from Metal to Jazz. . . My cymbal palette is now complete to paint the sonic images I’ve yet to achieve with other cymbals.”
The Exodus Approach
Caro’s decision to be an endorser of Exodus, in part, results from the company’s manufacturing process. Exodus builds its hand-hammered Bronze cymbals in a very different way than other cymbal companies. What is unique about the process is that Exodus blends B25 with 75% copper during the making of its cymbals at the company’s foundry in Turkey. In contrast, most cymbal companies use B20 Bronze or what is known as Bell Bronze.
“Having Caro as an endorser furthers our goal of changing the meaning of sound,” said Carlos Skinfill, CEO and founder of Exodus. “His drumming accomplishments are well documented, and we are confident that he will help Exodus reach new markets that are integral to the company’s future success.”
In addition to signing up well-respected drummers like Caro as endorsers to build the Exodus brand, Skinfill said that the company will attend Winter N.A.M.M. 2013. “We realize that Exodus must participate in tradeshows like N.A.M.M. to reach our goal of being considered the finest manufacturer of cymbals in the world,” he said. “So, shows like N.A.M.M. are very important to our growth and visibility in the market.”
