Daredevils Slide to victory in rain affected match

Delhi Daredevils too started their IPL-2 campaign on a winning note by defeating Kings X1 Punjab in a rain curtailed match, which was cut down to 12 Overs a side. Earlier, after winning the toss, Delhi Daredevil’s captain Virender Sehwag had no hesitation in putting Yuuraj led Kings XI to bat.

The daredevils were brilliant in the field and restricted Kings XI to a modest score, thanks to a great spell of spin bowling by Delhi Daredevils’ Daniel Vettori. Later when the Daredevils came down to bat, the game was interrupted by showers that ultimately shortened the game down to only 12 overs; and the daredevils were set a revised target of 101 runs to win.

Sehwag with a quick fire 38 from just 16 deliveries helped Delhi Daredevils make easy meat of the revised target and he along with his one day opening partner Gautam Gambir helped Daredevils to post a 10 wicket victory over the Kings XI Punjab.
