Dasavatharam, a Tamil movie where Kamal Haasan dons 10 roles is all set to release today. The movie, made on a whopping 165-crore budget(costliest Indian movie ever made) is releasing in more screens than Sivaji, the Rajnikanth blockbuster and has reportedly won more advanced booking. A Chennai multiplex is screening 50 shows a day(all its theatres are screening Dasavatharam), so you can judge the opening it has got.
Reviews have come pouring in – the bottomline seems to be that the movie is definitely worth watching, technically astounding with some amazing scenes and the champion actor Kamal Haasan delivering a masterful performance. But there also few negative sides reportedly – some unwanted scenes, few drab dialogues, not a very strong storyline and 10 different characters which may not have been needed at all.
However Kamal fans(which includes me) know that he is an actor whose versatility has never been matched in Indian cinema and he rarely disappoints his fans. The fact that Kamal revealed its one of the best roles he has ever done makes it a must-watch. So fellas, go to the nearest theatre and enjoy the show…. and write your reviews.
