Davis swore to come back to India to give evidence against the culprits.

The 31-year-old British lady, Jessica Davies, a dental hygienist from Greenwich who jumped off a hotel balcony in Agra to avoid an alleged sexual assault swore to come back to India to give evidence against her attackers. She said that she is "never going to travel alone again in India”. After the incident, she had to cut-short her six-week back-packing tour of Asia and returned back to Britain. She was speaking of her bizarre experience for the first time since her return to U.K.

The UK Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO) issued updated travel advice for women travellers to India after this incident, calling on them to "exercise caution when travelling in India even if they are travelling in a group".

Davis had sustained leg injuries while jumping out of a second-floor hotel room’s balcony in Agra.

She wanted to speak about her horrifying experience "because the shame of sexual assault makes many people too scared to speak out".

She called the conduct of associate hotel occupants as "disgusting, as she was yelling for help for over an hour and there was no one who could offer to help her.

Last week, Sachin Chauhan, manager and a guard of the hotel Agra Mahal appeared in court to face charges of sexual harassment. However, they said that they had knocked the door of the room simply to give a wake-up call.

Davis refuted the statement that she had asked for a wake-up call as she had set her phone alarm for 4.30am to catch an early morning train to Jaipur.

Davis told BBC that she had opened the door to discover the hotel manager asking if she wanted to take a shower and offering a massage. She said, "He was showing me this oil he had,"
she said,”I held my key in the lock and I could feel them turning it from the other side,”, and  handled furniture to cordon the door of her hotel room from inside.

The young lady claimed that after hearing about some recent cases of attacks on women she had been "exercising a lot of caution and wearing appropriate clothes" while her stay in India.
