I watched Obama get sworn into office as you did. The clock ticked to noon EST and before you knew it–he was no longer President. elect but rather just President Obama. You all watched in differnet ways, via internet or infront of the tv or radio. By the way, the first president to have it swearing in broadcasted on the internet is Bill Clinton in 1997.
I happened to have a day in school, other schools had early dissismal yesterday. I watched it at noon on one tv in the cafeteria. Of course, the person reading the words messed up causing the school to erupt in laughter. Then as soon as it was done and he become the 44th president the students in the school started clapping. After that, I came home and watched it all day long in my house and via the internet in cool ways.
Obama came down Pennsylvania Ave coming out of the new techno advanced limo which was cool. Then the entered the White House as "residents". They came out and returned to the reviewing stand for a few hours. After that, they headed to ten balls that night–all having fun on the first day.
While making history–becoming the First African American president, which no one thought would come. I know Dr. Martin Luther King would be proud of where the US is today. The ten balls wrapped up today—when everything is serious, and the real businuess starts…to "change" the country in a new direction starting a new era. Stay with GroundReport for more updates.
