Srinagar,July 25 (Scoop News) -In connection with celebration of Independence Day, 2012 in Srinagar district, a meeting of district officers of District Administration Srinagar was held here today under the Chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner, Srinagar, Baseer Ahmad Khan.
The meeting was attended by Joint Commissioner, Srinagar Municipal Corporation, Chief Education Officer, Srinagar, Chief Medical Officer, Srinagar, S.P. Traffic, Srinagar, Commandant CRPF, Executive Engineers of R&B, PHE and PDD, Deputy Directors of Youth Services and Sports and Fire and Emergency Services, Srinagar, Information Department, Cultural Academy and other officers.
In the meeting, the threadbare discussions were held and different issues were discussed like issuance of passes to the VIPs, parking place for vehicles, besides security arrangements were also discussed in the meeting.
The meeting was told that the contingents of JKP, JKAP, IRP, CRPF, Fire and Emergency Services, students of various schools will participate in the march past. Besides, 10 contingents of various schools would also participate in the march past as per the arrangements of Youth Services and Sports Department.
The meeting was also told that Cultural Academy and Information Department would arrange for presentation of cultural programmes at the function.
Baseer Khan was given out that elaborate arrangements will be made by R&B, PHE, Information and PWD on the occasion. He gave instructions to the concerned authorities of Srinagar Municipal Corporation for cleanliness in and around the stadium.
The Deputy Commissioner also directed the PHE department for deployment of water tanker besides, Health Department was directed to ensure medical camp and availability of ambulance.
The Deputy Commissioner said in the meeting that rehearsal function would be held at Police Headquarters at Zewan on August 01, 2012 and also last rehearsal will also be held at Bakshi Stadium on August 13, 2012.
GANDERBAL: Arrangements for celebration of 66th Independence Day with great honour, dignity and smoothly were finalized in a meeting chaired by Deputy Commissioner, Ganderbal, Showkat Ahmad Mir here today.
The Meeting among other officers was attended by Additional District Development Commissioner, Additional Deputy Commissioner, Chief planning officer, Tehsildar Lar, Ganderbal & Kangan, Executive Engineers R&B, PHE, & representatives from Police, Paramilitary Forces and other District officers.
The meeting discussed the fool proof arrangements to be made for smooth conduct ensuring Independence Day function on August 15, 2012. It was told in the meeting that the function will start with Shania Vadan followed by flag hosting and playing National song by the VIP. Which will be followed by address to the public by VIP and will be followed by March past by the contingents of District Police, J&K Armed Police, CRPF, IRP, JNV Ganderbal, Forest Protection Force and contingents of school children and Police Training School, Manigam. Cultural programmes will be presented on the occasion by different school children.
The Deputy Commissioner directed the officers of PDD to illuminate the Mini Secretariat and other Government buildings on this occasion. He also directed the officers to take all possible measures for better performance and asked to finalize the arrangements for celebration of Independence Day before August 13 & a full dress rehearsal will be taken on August 13 so that nothing will remain unattended.
