Gujar brethren given deadline of 9 June for releasing their arrested persons.
CHITRAL: An emergency meeting of Gujar tribes belonging to Sheshikoh valley was held here in a local hotel at Drosh under the chair of Haji Khan Muhammad. A large number of elites from Gujar tribes attended the meeting to discuss some burning issues conflicted to Gujar families. They expressed their great concern over arresting of Haji Inzar Gul and Sher Muhammad under terrorism act. They said that Haji Inzar Gul and former Nazim union council Sheshi Koh Sher Muhammad were arrested by Drosh police under 6/7 ATA (Anti Terrorism Act) on the pressure of Member National Assembly (MNA) from Chitral Shahzada Muhayuddin. They termed their arresting totally wrong and injustice. They said that these two persons were present at Chitral and have meet District Officer Revenue & Estate Akbar Jalal and Divisional Forest Officer Gulzar but even then local police lodged FIR against them and arrested them on account of firing over MNA Chitral at Purait goal Sheshi koh valley. They alleged that MNA Chitral belongs to Pakistan Muslim League Q and these persons are worker of Ruling Party Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) and MNA taking his political revenge from them they. The said that these persons were produced before the court of Anti Terrorism at Swat and were handed over to police on physical remand. The said that they are innocent and having no link with firing case on MNA room where administration has handed over his land under execution order of the court. It is worth to mention here that local administration under execution order of court had handed over a large piece of land to MNA at Puriat goal Sheshikoh valley but some unknown persons opened firing over MNA and reiterated the land again from MNA. Gujar tribes expressed heir great concern over this arresting and termed it political revenge.
They said that main Sheshikoh road have been blocked by some body else who relative to MNA Chitral but police harassing them illegally in even in this case they alleged. They passed a unanimous resolution for fulfillment of their demands. Through a resolution they demanded for early releasing of innocent citizens who were arrested by Drosh police. And inquiry should be conducted in this regard to avoid from arresting of more innocent people and to ascertain factual position of this case. They demanded for probing in firing case and blockage of main Sheshi koh road and urged on taking legal action against those who involve in blocking of road and firing on police party. They urged from the administration to not harass poor and helpless people of Sheshi koh unnecessarily. They demanded from MNA to be avoiding from taking political revenge from his opponent groups. They appeal to , Chief Justice Peshawar High Courts, Chief Minister Khyber Pukhtoonhwa Amir Haidr khan Hoti and district administration of Chitral for providing them justice and initiating a neutral inquiry so as to probe into this case. They warned by giving 9th June as deadline if their genuine demands were not fulfilled they preserved the rights to kick a peaceful protest and will raise their voice against cruelty and indiscriminating behaviors towards Gujar tribes by local administration. They alleged that peaceful environment of Chitral is deliberately disturbing and some politician compelled innocent people to came on roads and deteriorate this exemplary peaceful environment of Chitral and to create tense situation in the district like other parts of the province only for their political and personal benefits. The meeting disbursed peacefully and a large number of people including PPP leaders, Human rights activists from Drosh area also attended the meeting.
