Leh, December 04 (Scoop News) –Today, the Principal District and Session Judge, Leh (Ladakh) Sanjay Parihar, has pronounced death Sentence to a accused namely Sonam Dorjay in case titled State V/s Sonam Dorjay, FIR No. 86 of 2002 u/s 302/376, 404 RPC, wherein it has been held that “accused first sexually assaulted the deceased which is proved from the injuries found over the private parts of the deceased, he did not stop but went to strangulate her to death and while leaving, he even did not ever made any effort to cover her body. The condition in which her body was found shows that her vaginal part stood open and Pajama removed up to knees. He exhibited grave sins of criminality by leaving her body in that condition and than her belongings also were scrambled. He (accused) had good acquaintance of deceased and had all opportunity to commit the crime which he did in most brutal, heinous and shameful act by committed rape on Mst. Tsomo than strangle her to death. Merely that he (accused ) has gone ordeal of trail of ten years and that he lost his parents in the intervening period are not mitigating circumstances that outweigh the depravity and diabolic nature of the act committed by the accused”.
