Srinagar, June 15, (Scoop News)- Defence Minister, Arun Jaitley and Chief Minister, Omar Abdullah Sunday morning took stock of the prevailing security scenario in the State in a high level security review meeting here.
The Army Commanders, Police and Security Forces Chiefs presented resume of the security situation and briefed the meeting about its various aspects.

Earlier Defense Minister Arun Jaitley on Sunday said that the government would talk with “anyone who respects the constitution and India’s sovereignty”.Mr jatily was answering a question whether or not the new government was in favour of holding talks with the separatists.
Defense Minister was speaking in a press conference held in Srinager today .He said that the only motive behind his visit to J&K was to assess the security situation and wish for a peaceful atmosphere in the restive state, He said that there was no political reason for his visit as elections were over.
“I wish that peace prevails here… I am going back with the sense of reasonable satisfaction,” said Jaitley.
He said the centre will give whatever assistance is required for development of Jammu & Kashmir.
