Sep 10: Terming statement by defense spokesman Lt Col J S Brar as a result of
sheer pressure upon him from Government of India and senior officers, Vishwa
Hindu Parishad State President Dr. Ramakant Dubey said that through out his
life he never heard about blasting of a grenade without unplugging its pin. He
said that spokesman under pressure has stated that blast took place at its own
which impossible. Apprehending more destruction after the withdrawal or
dilution of Armed Forces Special Power Act (AFPSA), Dr Dubey said that Union
Government should think twice before taking any step in this regard.
Addressing
media persons, Dr Dubey condemned act of blasting over convey at Pattan on way
to Baramullah district, wherein 3 soldiers were killed and 6 others got
injured. He said that if government is desirous to amend AFSPA, it should send
back troops to barracks. Internal affairs of law and order and security from
Chief Minister to other ministers should be taken care of local police. He
added whenever state feels need of services of security forces and army it
should demand in writing. Expressing shock over the treatment given to soldiers
by people of Kashmir against their services and contribution in safeguarding country
and rebuilding lives of Kashmiris, Dr. Dubey said that demoralization of security
forces should be looked in by the GOI.
Replying
to a query, Dr. Dubey said that government is now recruiting forces to get
killed by anti-national forces and not to safeguard the country. He said that
central leadership of Parishad is being feeded ongoing activities regularly. He
said that issue would be raised in the forth coming country level meet. Dr
Dubey demanded that any sitting or retire judge should be engaged to enquire
the incident of blast independently.
