Provincial Minister announced Degree College at Drosh.
CHITRAL: Provincial Minster for population welfare Saleem Khan Chitral announced establishment of a Degree college at Drosh area some 45 KM from here where there is no college for boys are girls. Earlier that he was received warmly by elders of Gahriat village and demanded for construction of a civil dispensary and primary schools and up-gradation of the only girls primary school to middle one. Provincial minister also visited government higher secondary school Drosh where he was briefed by Saleem Kamil Subject specialist and acting Principal of the school. He said that posts of and vice principal as well as 2 posts of SET and 4 posts of subject specialist especially of science subjects are lying vacant in the school. He said that if posts of subject specialists of Mathematics, Biology, Physics and Chemistry were not fulfilled we cant not enroll students in 1st year for F. Sc (Science subject). He also complained of lack of furniture in hall and not existing teacher of information technology. Professor retired Syed Tufiq Hussain Jan while expressing his views demanded for establishment of colleges both for girls and boys as the area situated in a long distance from Chitral and students of poor parents cant not afford fair to travel Chitral daily.
Addressing on the occasion Saleem Khan said that being a public representative I have snatched one college out of 20 colleges for NWFP which would be established at Drosh area. He directed education officer to submit detail of required items like furniture etc for inclusion in ADP next year. An other function was held at Rest house Drosh. Abdul Hameed Advocate president PPP Tehsil Drosh demanded for launching uplift schemes in the area. Addressing to public gathering Saleem Khan felicitated them for imposing of Islamic Sharia (Nizami Adal Regulation) at Malakand Division including Chitral. He said we tried of our best for implementation of Nizami Adal regulation in this division and trying to be extend it to whole province being Muslim citizen. He also paid rich tribute to president Asif Ali Zardari who signed the bill despite high pressure of foreign countries to not sign the bill. He announced for re-construction of old building of middle school and allocation fund for water supply scheme in the area. Provincial minister also visited Wardab and Doom Shughoor where a public meeting was held at residence of a local PPP worker. Inhabitants of the area demanded for pipeline for potable drinking water as the area greatly facing shortage of water. Sharif Hussain Chairman PPP sub Division Chitral said that PPP always supporting poor people and trying of its best to solve their problems at their door step and that is why PPP minister visiting each and every corner of Chitral listening problems of people for redresses.
Saleem Khan stressed upon the public to strengthen PPP for solving problems of poor community in future. He also visited Sheshi Hydro power project and strictly warned project Manager and director for early completion of the power house. The provincial minister expressed his great concern over delay and late work on the power house as a result thousands of consumer suffering by lack of power supply. He warned while giving them deadline upto 31st May to complete the work otherwise stern action would be taken against the defaulter. He also directed SHYDO staff for provision of electricity to Madaglasht area on the request of Sarfaraz Shah former Naib Nazim of UC Sheshi koh and member of executive body PPP Chitral.
