Delaware High School Basketball Recaps

December 14, 2014 Game at the Tina Thompson Championship Classic, the Lady Bucs of Caravel Academy behind sr. Most Valuable Player sr. Caroline Davis’s 11 points and 13 boards along with teammate sr Ky’Asia Stanford’s 16 points defeated Holy Child School of MD by a 53-42 score.

December 15, 2014:

Boys

30 points by jr Kobe Morris and teammate sr. Joseph Carter’s 27 points paced the Ravens of St. Thomas More to a 67-29 win over Worcester Prep of MD.

22 points by so Malik Curry, 17 by so Jordan Money and 12 by sr. Michael Piekarski paced the Vikings of St. Elizabeth to a 64-54 win over the Wildcats of Howard.  For Howard, so Kineph Turner led with 21 12 points by sr. Alonje Curry and sr Jakir Stewart with 10,

Girls

so Ronnay Blatch-Huggins led the Lady Wildcats to a 42-37 victory over the Lady Redskins of Conrad as she led with with 15 pts, 15 rebounds, 5 blocks and 2 steals.  For Conrad, sr. Jasmine Watson led with 12 points followed by jr Stephanie Lane with 10.

40 points by so Dashia Jackson paced the Lady Titans of Moyer Academy to a 45-33 win over the Lady Eagles of DAPSS. For the Lady Eagles, jr Brittany Cooke led with 18 points.

December 16, 2014-Boys

11 points by so Gregory Tucker paced the Silver Eagles of Hodgson to a 56-37 win over the Bulldogs of Brandywine.

21 points by sr Tyquan Hudson, 15 by sr. LJ Carter, 13 points by jr  Zy Mire McCray and 10 by jr Stevenjameed Hawkins paced the Vikings of Christiana to a 66-39 win over the Highlanders of Mckean.

13 points by sr. Brian Dennis paced the Raiders of Concord to a 51-34 win over the Middletown Cavaliers.

26 points by jr Raheim Burnett and 24 by so Robert Myrick paced the Green Knights of Mt. Pleasant to a 78-62 win over the Rams of Dickinson.  For the Rams, jr Kawan Spencer Taylor led with 25 points followed by jr Khalir Johnson led with 14 and teammate sr Weusi Johnson contributed with 10.

Charter Force came out of the shell tonignt and played a complete all around game as they defeated Newark 55-48,  Matt Brenneman stepped up with 20 points, Alex Dirienzo with 14 points and Jamar Washington with 11 points.  Charter’s defensive effort is really hurting their opponenents.

21 points by jr Ja’vier Worthy, 18 points by sr Latrelle Lee and 14 by sr. Stedman Kpana paced the Eagles of Smyrna to a 61-45 win over the Spartans of Lake Forest.  For the Spartans, so Cameron Lewis led with 12 points.

19 points by jr Daniel Wilson, 17 by jr Daniel Walsh, 14 by sr Dizhae Henriquez paced the Colonials of William Penn to a 74-42 win over the Glasgow Dragons.

23 points by sr Brian Cameron paced the Seahawks of Delaware Military Academy to a 57-50 win over the Hornets of Tatnall.  For Tatnall, sr Ian Cella Hoffman led with 15 points followed by 13 by so Nicholas Cutrona and 11 by so Jordan Edwards.

23 points by 8th grader Nathan Hardcastle, 16 by jr Austin Harris paced the Warriors of Wilmington Christian to a 54-44 win over the Royals of Delmarva Christian.  For Delmarva Christian, jr Micah McGee led with 17 points, sr. Joshua Decker with 14 and 11 by sr. Matthew Dykstra.

15 points by jr Preston Hickman and 11 by jr Tyzhe Burkhead paced the Eagles of DAPSS to a 55-28 win over the Tigers of Rising Sun.

15 points by jr Elijah Stevens and 13 by jr Jordan Blake paced the Redskins of Conrad to a 49-43 win over the Auks of Archmere.  For the Auks, jr Nick Udovich led with 12 points.

17 points by sr. Chucky Auguste, 16 by sr. Gary Warren and sr Raquel Pacheco paced the Laurel Bulldogs to a 74-26 win over Salisbury Christian.

12 points each by so Myles Cale and teammate jr Kristian Alexander paced the Jaguars of Appoquinimink to a 34-32 overtime win over the Spartans of St. Marks. St Marks was lead by Dan Campbell with 12 point and Matt Williams added 9 points

Girls

21 points by sr Arianna Fleming, 13 by Dynasty Williams paced the Lady Silver Eagles to a 55-21 win over the Lady Bulldogs of Brandywine.

18 points by jr Olivia Gumbs paced the Lady Cardinals of St. Andrews to a 46-32 win over the Lady Hillers of Tower Hill.  so Brianna McCoy paced the Lady Hillers with 12.

18 points by sr. Simone London paced the Lady Riders of Caesar Rodney to a 58-45 win over the Lady Bucs of Milford.  For the Bucs, jr Kala Fluitt led with 16 points followed by jr Jonae Boone with 12.

13 points by jr Megan Mallon and 11 by sr. Taylor Hazewski paced the Pandas of Padua Academy to a 46-27 win over the Hornets of Tatnall.  For Tatnall, fr Shelby Bailey Smiley led with 10.

11 points by jr Helen Lynch paced the Lady Force of Charter to a 58-7 win over the Lady Jackets of Newark.

12 points by jr Alyssia Irons paced the Lady Raiders of Ursuline to a 64-22 win over the Lady Senators of Dover.  Other Raider performers, 12 points by fr Margaret Connolly, 11 by jr Sabrina Harris and 10 by sr. Adrianna Hahn.

jr Quanterra DeShields 16 point performance along with teammate so Elize Felton and so Shanira Mitchell 11 points each paced the Colonials of William Penn to a 73-18 win over the Dragons of Glasgow.

23 points by so Danziah Brown and sr. Audra Woodside with 12 paced the Auks of Archmere to a 61-50 win over the Lady Seahawks of Delaware Military Academy.  For the Lady Seahawks, jr Bridget Mclaughlin led with 15.

22 points by sr. Chucky Auguste paced the Laurel Bulldogs to a 49-36 win over the Woodbridge Raiders.

so Matt Sengphachanh’s 23 point performance along with 5 steals, sr Kaiden Willaims had 15 points and 12 rebounds , sr John Chido 13 points and 5 steals paced the Buccaneers of Caravel to a 73-34 win over Tri State Christian Academy of MD.

sr Elijah Agwu’s 17 points along with sr. Jordan Teagle 12 and jr Chetor Carter 10 paced the AI Tigers to a 62-51 win over the Yellowjackets of Newark. For the Jackets, so Chaz Knox led with 13.

20 points by so John Stansbury and 13 by sr. Lonnie Simpson paced the Silver Eagles of Hodgson to a 61-47 win over the Vikings of Christiana. For the Vikings, jr Stevynjameed Hawkins led with 11.

19 points by jr Shirle Brown paced the Lady Jags of Appoquinimink to a 48-47 win over the Lady Cougars of Delcastle. For the Lady Cougars, sr Dajae English led with 12 followed by jr Ameerah Taylor with 10.

18 points by sr Jada Pritchett and 17 points by sr. Jasmine Hudson paced the Lady Golden Knights of Sussex Central to a 56-36 win over the Lady Senators of Dover. For Dover, jr Patiense Harris led with 11.

16 points by jr Jonae Boone and 12 by jr Kala Fluitt and 10 by so Rajene Bowe paced the Milford Buccaneers to a 56-24 win over the Delmar Wildcats.

29 points by fr Carlos Dean and 28 points by fr DeSean Cain 19 by fr Jalen Robinson paced the Warriors of Red Lion Christian to an 89=83 win over the Titans of Moyer Academy.  For Moyer, sr Zaahir Pennecott led with 26 points followed by 8th grader Kwa Jwee Turner and sr. Quinton Dorsey with 11.

11 points each by jr Jordan Blake and sr Kyle Malick paced the Conrad Redskins to a 52-39 win over the Quakers of Friends.  For the Quakers, 14 points by so Jordan Perkins.

20 points by sr Ray Pacheco and 18 by sr. Chuck Auguste and 14 by sr. Gary Warren paced the Bulldogs of Laurel to a 69-68 win over the Spartans of Lake Forest.  For the Spartans, jr Dominique Griffin led with 18 points, sr’s William Coleman Trader and Dontwain Cornish each with 14 points.

15 points by so Jordan Cooke, 12 by sr. Jasmine Whitehead,and 11 by jr Madison Cook paced the Lady Cavaliers of Middletown to a 44-42 win over the Lady Panthers of Polytech.  jr Victoria Steele led the Lady Panthers with 13 points.

so Samaria Risper’s 17 point performance along with 10 points each by sr Jazmine Smith and fr Nyra Giles paced the Lady Bulldogs of Laurel High School to a 54-39 win over Colonel Richardson of MD.

12-26-14 Girls Basketball-Henderson High School defeated the Lady Auks of Archmere 51-46.  sr Audra Woodside led with 14 and 13 each by so Daneziah Brown and so Elise Bastian.

Boys

12-27-14-24 points by sr. Devaughn Mallory paced the Panthers of Polytech to a 56-36 win over the Whippets of Downingtown East High School.

14 points by sr. Richard Malloy paced the Concord Raiders to a 52-30 win over Ambridge of PA.

19 points by jr Mikey Dixon, 17 by jr Jacob Walsh paced the Warriors of Sanford to a 64-44 win over the Sals of Salesianum.  sr. Donte Devincenzo led with 11 points. fr Paul Brown contributed with 10.

20 by so Kyson Rawls and jr Joshua, Williams with 12 paced the Hawks of St. Georges to a 49-41 win over the Vikings of Cape Henlopen.  jr Demetrius Price led with 11.

Girls-sr. jr Alex Thomas 18 points and 15 by 8th grader Olivia Tucker paced the Lady Vikings of St. Elizabeth to a 68-54 loss to Tennessee power Lawrence County.

jr Kaitlyn Wolf’s 18 points and 10 by sr Ann White paced the Spartans of St. Marks to a 47-46 win over the Lady Wildcats of Howard.  For Howard, so Ronnae Blanch Huggins led the Lady Cats with 18.

sr. Patricia Fawcett 11 and sr Tatiana Mitchell’s 10 points paced the Lady Wildcats of Howard to a 61-58 win over the Lady Seahawks of Delaware Military Academy.  sr. Renalda L Italian led the Lady Seahawks with 20, jr Kylie Quirk contributed with 14 and so Lindsay Wolfe with 11.

jr Chrishynah Alston’s 16 points along with leading scorer 8th grader Lauren Park paced the Lady Warriors of Sanford School to a 61-52 win over Monsignor Scanlon High School..

13 by sr Taylor Hazewski and 12 by jr Megan Mallon paced the Lady Pandas of Padua to a 50-46 win over Harriton of Rosemont, PA.

St. Marks was defeated by Council Rock South of PA 52-30. sr Alyssa Simmons led the Lady Spartans with 12 points.
