Delhi Police sources said on Saturday that Sayyed Liyaqat Shah had big terror plans to accomplish in Capital. The disclosures have come in the middle of a controversy over the issue whether Liyaqat Shah was scheduling a terror strike in Delhi or he was coming to surrender under rehabilitation policy.
Reportedly, Shah trained in the Pakistan-occupied Kashmir and that he had been directed by his master minds to target crowded areas of Delhi during the festival of Holi.The target, also, includes Chandni Chowk area of old Delhi and a trendy mall of South Delhi.
The Delhi Police is on lookout for six other alleged terrorists hiding in New Delhi. They apprehend that they could be suicide bombers and may target the national capital on eve of colour festival Holi.
These revelations came after police raided a guest house in Jama Masjid area and recovered arms and ammunition, but occupants of that room could not be arrested.
Ameena Begum w/o of arrested terrorist told a news agency that her husband was coming back home under the state government’s rehabilitation policy by Nepal and there was no possibility of carrying any weapons with him.
She said that her husband was picked up by some gunmen nine years ago and after so many years she received a letter from him stating that he was working as a labourer in Mansehra, Pakistan.
Ameena said. "After mobile phones started working in the Valley, we used to occasionally receive calls from him confirming his welfare and his desire to return home, We filed an application with the authorities in Kupwara district requesting that Liyaqat be allowed to return home under the rehabilitation policy.’’
And it was under that umbrella he was returning to India via Nepal to re-join his family. "There is no question of my husband returning to India with any weapon at all since he was coming home under the state government’s rehabilitation policy and that too through Nepal."
