Despite the ‘Bitter’ Speech, Obama Continues Gaining Solid Ground

Amidst the negative coverage of Democratic co-frontrunner Senator Barack Obama after his “bitter” speech, which had brought forth as much controversy with the “white grandmother” speech, he still holds solid ground in key primary states. The LA Times/Bloomberg reveals that Obama has a five point lead over co-Democratic frontrunner Hillary Clinton in Indiana. In Pennsylvania, Clinton has a 5 point lead over Obama.

The 5 point lead over Obama is considered major due to Clinton originally having a double-digit lead in Pennsylvania. It shows that while Obama is gaining ground, Clinton is losing ground. In North Carolina, Obama has a double-digit lead over Clinton.

Despite the backlash over the “bitter” speech, it looks as it has not hurt Obama much according to the newly released polls. Regardless of the controversy, Obama seems to continue gaining ground in the Democratic races. However, it does not mean that Clinton is out of the Democratic race yet.
