It seems that pop/dance music has received its new reigning prince.
Destined Universal (age 20), from Philadelphia, PA, has already proven to be one of 2012 BIGGEST TALKED ABOUT ARTISTS on the internet. For the past two weeks, Universal has been a trending topic on celebrity blogger Baz Bendell’s Bazaar Daily News (on Sunday, 5,500 people worldwide searched Universal, making him trend at #8 on the most searched list).
Linked with industry underdogs like multi-platinum recording artist JoJo and Grammy-nominated artist Stacie Orrico, Destined has somehow made himself a common named mentioned on the web. And with the recent leaking of his yet-to-be finished track "Luv U Betta," Universal seems to be skyrocketing into stardom.
Destined Universal was scheduled to premiere his single "Lovelife" last night, but due to a few technical difficulties, the single has yet to uploaded. A clip of the song was uploaded to YouTube briefly, then taken down this morning. Word on the street is that Universal is not exactly 100% satisfied with the single and is heading to the studio this weekend to fix it up a bit.
"Lovelife" is scheduled to hit airwaves sometime next week. The single will then be available on all major digital markets (iTunes, Rhapsody, Amazon, etc.) on Valentine’s Day.
Either way, the reign of the current musical protege is eminent and shows now way of slowing down
