Jammu, November 08 (Scoop News) – Director General of Police (DGP), Kuldeep Khoda inspected various moving police establishments including PHQ which resumed functioning in the Winter capital here today following Darbar Move.
DGP was received at the PHQ lawns by senior police officers and was presented guard of honour by a contingent of armed police. Accompanied by senior police officers, Khoda visited various sections of PHQ and enquired from the officials about the working of their branches.
DGP also visited other moving police offices including CID, Armed, Security, Traffic, Auxiliary and Crime Headquarters. While interacting with the staff, Khoda stressed upon them to render their duties with zeal, enthusiasm and discipline. During the inspection of various establishments, he discussed different matters with heads of these units and gave on the spot instructions for better working infrastructure.
Khoda also chaired senior police officers meeting at PHQ and reviewed over all security and law and order situation in the State. Kuldeep Khoda instructed the officers to maintain high alert in view of the visit of US President, Barrack Obama to India. He urged the officers to work with greater zeal to get desirable results in different areas of policing. Khoda stressed upon the officers that while making security arrangements, it should be ensured that public does not face any inconvenience.
Detailed discussions were held for ensuring better traffic management in the cities of Srinagar, Jammu and major towns of the State. Khoda stressed upon the traffic police to strictly maintain the smooth flow of traffic and also ensure the parking of vehicles at already identified places so that the people do not suffer. He also instructed traffic authorities to ensure the uninterrupted traffic during peak hours of morning and evening. He said that traffic violators need to be curbed to get better results of traffic arrangements.
Among others, the meeting was attended by Additional Director General of Police, Ram Lubhaya, Inspectors General of Police, Smt. D.R. Doley, Navin Agarwal, Raja Aijaz Ali, S. Owais Ahmed, A.K.Gupta, Mohammed Amin Shah, Farooq Ahmed, A.K.Choudhary and H.K.Lohia, Deputy Inspectors General of Police, K.K.Saini, Alok Puri, T. Punchok and other senior Police Officers.
