DG JK Police reviews law and order situation

 

     Jammu, November 08 (Scoop News)- Director General of Police, J&K  Mr. Kuldeep Khoda, chairs a high level meeting of senior offices of BSF/CRPF/Police/Intelligence Agencies and other senior Civil Officers of Jammu Division at Police Control Room, Jammu here today.  He reviewed law & order and Security scenario in Jammu Zone in general and arrangements made for Annual Darbar move in particular.  The DGP was accompanied by Addl. Law & Order J&K, Mr . K.Rajindera.

 

IGP Jammu Zone Mr. Dilbag Singh, briefed the DGP about various arrangements made by Jammu Police to strengthen the law & Order and security grid in the backdrop of annual darbar Move and also special deployment made in view of call given by some student organizations and other associations , on the opening of darbar Move in Jammu on 9th Nov. He said that all necessary arrangements have been made and the concerned field Officers and Units stand thoroughly briefed and sensitized.

 

The other Officers of Intelligence Agencies and field Units including BSF/CRPF and Police, also gave their assessment reports based on available inputs on  the security and law and order front in  Jammu Zone with special reference to Jammu District.

 

Mr Khoda, while appreciating the efforts of various Agencies in maintenance of Law & order and keeping the militants activities under check,  asked them to put in their best for ensuring adequate security and law and order arrangements during the functioning of Winter Capital in Jammu .  He laid special emphasis for maintenance of law and order on the opening day of Darbar.  He stressed upon effective coordination, adequate briefing to the officers and men being deployed and effective supervision over the ground deployment to achieve better result , he added.

 

Mr Khoda ,  issued detailed instructions to IG Traffic Jammu about bringing improvement in the regulation of traffic and booking the violators of traffic rules especially driving without helmets and triple driving as these have always proved fatal in case of accidents.  He desired that the traffic deployment should be dynamic. More Traffic personnel be deployed where traffic jams are frequent to avoid inconvenience being caused to general Public.

 

The meeting was attended by IGP Jammu Zone Jammu, Div.Com Jammu, Commissioner SB NZ Jammu, IG Armed, IG Traffic, IG BSF,  DIG CID Jammu, DIG J-K Range, DIG Security J&K, DIG SSG J&K, Dy Director IB Jammu, DIG CRPF OPS, DC Jammu , SSP Jammu , SSP PCR Jammu, Commandants of Jammu Based Armed Bns. SSP CID SB, SP Security, SP CID CI  and SP APCR Jammu.
