Director General of Police, (DGP) Kuldeep Khoda took a meeting to
penetrate crime related activities of Jammu Zone. Meeting of all range DIG’s
and District SSP’s of Jammu Zone was taken in account. Accompanied by Addl. Director General of
Police, Armed, Law & order K. Rajendra reviewed crime, anti-militancy
operation, general security scenario and also discuss necessary steps to be
taken to control the crime rate.
Disposal of pending crime cases especially cases of heinous crime, preparedness
of the Police to celebrate forthcoming Republic Day Function and other law and
order related arrangements were also discussed.DGP while briefing the officers
asked them to put in their best for ensuring adequate security, law and order
arrangements during the function of Republic Day celebrations.
Khoda called for synergizing Police-Public partnership groups and
directed the officers to conduct regular meetings with the general public in
their area of responsibility and promptly respond to the public complaints and be
friendly with the people. He directed the officers to make elaborate
arrangements and take necessary steps for maintaining law and order. No body
should be allowed to vitiate the atmosphere at any cost, he added.

Officers briefed DGP about available inputs and their assessment over the
security, law and order situation in Jammu region. They briefed DGP about the
arrangements they have made for enhancing the security, law and order
arrangements. K. Rajendra urged police officers to maintain coordination among
other sister agencies deployed in the districts for ensuring a peaceful
environment and prevention of any anti social activities in the disturbed areas
and stressed District SSPs to strength their DAR. Inspector General of Police
Jammu Zone, Dilbag Singh gave an elaborate presentation on the prevalent
security scenario in the division and over all position of the crime and its
disposal. He also set the time bound specific targets for all the Range Police
and District Police officers in the presence of DGP and asked them to be ensure
that people friendly approach is exercised
at all levels and their grievances attended so quickly.
