Jammu, November 29, (Scoop News)- Recognizing the spirit of public service, bravery and human values, exhibited by the personnel of Jammu and Kashmir Police in recent floods, Director General of Police (DGP), K. Rajendra Kumar, today sanctioned cash reward of Rs.2.92 lakhs for different ranks of the force.
The decision was taken at a meeting of senior police officers held at Police Headquarters (PHQ) here this morning. Presiding the meeting, Rajendra said that devastating floods damaged properties at a large scale in the Valley and some parts of the Jammu Division and the personnel of JKP, despite loosing their personal properties, immediately braced up themselves in their jurisdictions and saved a number of human lives in the flood hit areas.
