"Credit to Sehwag and Yuvraj, They scored off the good balls which put pressure on the bowlers and it forced them into making mistakes," Dhoni said.
"They played their natural game although we were in a spot of bother having lost two early wickets. We didn’t have a particular plan to go after the bowling, but you don’t want batsmen like Yuvraj and Sehwag to get bogged down," he explained.
"The guys who are batting down the order, they take up the pressure. They say even if we lose a few wickets we will compensate for it and get a total which we can defend. That’s been the attitude and they have given the guys at the top of the order the freedom to play their strokes," he further added.
"We are not really looking for the record," he said.
"It’s a nice position to be in, 3-0 up and the series in the hand. So it gives us an opportunity to give the players on the bench a game. That’s our priority. We want everybody to have an opportunity," he added.
"However, winning is important and we will try to win that game as well," he said.
"It was a disappointing game for us. We came in with a lot of hope and belief that we could turn this around. We took two early wickets but Viru and Yuvi batted really well," said Sri Lanka captain Mahela Jayawardene.
"We had a few chances but we could not capitalise on it and they just took the game away from us.They played some really good shots, put our bowlers under pressure and that partnership set the game up for them. It was hard for us to come back into the game and we can learn from this series. There are a few areas which we need to tighten up," he added.
"I think we need to play our best team and try and win matches. That’s the only way we can get our confidence back and there is a lot of cricket ahead of us. So we need to do the right thing and probably rest the guys who are really tired," he said.
"No, I don’t think we are playing too much cricket. No complaints from our side, but I think we need to have a look at the bowlers. The other guys are pretty good," the Lankan skipper added.
