Speaking at a felicitation function organized in his favour by the Civil Secretariat Employees Coordination Committee here, the Chief Minister said that table is the only course to resolve issues. “I have time and again maintained that State Government would actively facilitate the internal and external dialogue processes to help restore permanent peace and address political issues”, he asserted.
The Chief Minister said that all of us have to work together to create a conducive atmosphere for dialogue to seek solution to the issues and pave way for peaceful and developed
Omar said that Government will fulfill all its commitments made to employees pertaining to their genuine demands. “In fact on the first day of opening of offices at Jammu after I assumed the Chief Minister’s office, I made it clear at a press conference that Government will implement recommendations of 6th pay commission. “We have fulfilled the promise and are ready to gradually meet other genuine demands of employees”, he said.
The Chief Minister said that the right way for employees to express their happiness on Government’s friendly gestures is to make public service the benchmark of their functioning. “Your happiness for the actions of the Government’s should reflect in your timely coming to office, clearing the desks fast and showing affection to the people visiting the Secretariat to pursue their cases”, he told the employees.
Abdullah said that in the cordial relation between employees and the Government is the interest of public. “We want to keep you happy so that your delivering on public service becomes more qualitative and fast”, he said and asked them to work with dedication to help realize the goal of progress and prosperity for the State.
The function was attended by the Minister for Finance, Abdul Rahim Rather, Minister for Education, Peerzada Mohammad Sayeed, Minister for Rural Development, Ali Mohammad Sagar, Minister for PHE, Taj Mohi-ud-Din, Minister for Industries, Surjit Singh Salathia, Minister of State for Health, Javid Ahmad Dar, Advisors to Chief Minister, Mubarak Gul and Devender Singh Rana, Chief Secretary, S.S. Kapur, Commissioner/Secretary GAD, Bashrat Ahmad Dhar, Commissioner/Secretary Finance, Sudhanshu Pandey and other senior officers of the civil administration.
The President, Nazir Ahmad Mir and other office bearers of Civil Secretariat Employees Coordination Committee in their addresses lauded the Chief Minister’s efforts in helping resolve the issues and creating a cordial atmosphere of working. “We do not believe in confrontations, lock outs and hartals. We always look for addressing issues through interaction”, the speakers assured and said that they would work wholeheartedly to implement the development policy of the Government.
The employees Union leaders also presented a memorandum of demands to the Chief Minister and expressed hope that these would be actively considered.
