DIG North Kashmir holds interaction with released militants

 

 Srinagar, January 11 (Scoop News) -DIG North Kashmir Munir Khan held a interactive session with released militants of Baramulla range, today.

In order to look into the problems, being faced by the released militants viz-a-viz their rehabilitation including their livelihood, social status and other things a meeting of the released militants of North Kashmir range was held today at Baramulla. About fifty released militants from different corners of North Kashmir Range participated in the meet.

The meeting was chaired by the Deputy Inspector General of police, North Kashmir Range,  Munir Ahmad Khan. The response of the released militants to actually coming  to the main stream was overwhelming as their commitment to serve the society in a positive manner was overwhelming.

During the meeting, thread bare discussion was held regarding rehabilitation of these militants, policy guidelines, besides, the DIG was apprised of the hurdles and problems they are facing in the implementation of these policies.

The follow-up meeting/workshop of these representatives of the released militants will be held on January 30th 2012, at Baramulla, in order to apprise them about the steps being taken for their rehabilitation.
