Srinagar, October 07, (Scoop News)-Rohit Kansal, Divisional Commissioner, Kashmir, called on N.N. Vohra, Governor, here at the Raj Bhavan today.
Kansal briefed the Governor about the estimated losses suffered by the people on account of recent floods and the relief, rehabilitation, health and sanitation measures which are presently underway.
The Governor advised the Divisional Commissioner to urgently review the impact of the recent floods on the educational schedules, from the school to the University level, and have the Government’s decision about the revised vacation and examination schedules announced without any delay.
The Governor also advised Kansal to direct Dy. Commissioners, and all others concerned, to speed up the rehabilitation work to ensure that all those adversely affected by the floods are under safe shelters before the winter sets in.
