Patient airlifted by IAF from Keran
Srinagar, January 19 (Scoop News) –Divisional Commissioner, Kashmir, Dr. Asgar Hassan Samoon directed Director CAPD Kashmir Mushtaq Ahmed to ensure that the rates of essential commodities especially Rice, Wheat, Atta, Sugar, Kerosene Oil, LPG, Milk, Eggs, Meat, Chicken, Bread etc. are advertised through print and electronic media including Radio Kashmir, Sheharbeen, Big 92.7 FM and Doordarshan, so that consumers are aware of the rates and no hoarding takes place. He has also ordered that all ration, kerosene depots including FPS ensure display of rate list and maintain stock register which can be inspected by the special squads constituted by the Deputy Commissioners.
It may be mentioned that the ration holders are entitled to collect 7 litres of Kerosene Oil per ration card at Rs 15.24 paisa per litre, Sugar 700 gms per head at Rs 13.50 paisa per kg. Besides APL ration card holders are entitled to 40 kgs per ration card at Rs 10 per kg, BPL can get 45 kgs at Rs 6.40 paisa per kg and AAY 35 kgs at Rs. 3 per kg. LPG domestic cylinder of 14.2kg weight costs Rs 430.50 paisa per cylinder and rationed 5kg LPG cylinder costs Rs. 153.75. Loose milk is to be sold at Rs 21 per litres, paneer at Rs 110 per kgs, eggs at Rs 40 per dozen. Broiler Chicken at Rs. 70 per kgs, parent chicken at Rs 60 per kg and layer chiken at Rs 50 per kg.
Meanwhile, on the basis of a written complaint by a parent of a school child, the Div Com initiated action against Principal, Mehboob Public School, Batmaloo. The parent complained that the school authorities demanded Rs. 500 per student, from all students as illegal gratification, for issuance of matriculation certificate and did not issue it till the amount was paid. Div Com has asked Deputy Commissioner, Srinagar to enquire into the matter and if the allegation is proved, action be initiated against the school authorities. Director, School Education has also been asked to take action in the matter.
Patient airlifted by IAF from Keran
On the intervention of Divisional Commissioner Kashmir, Dr Asgar Hassan Samoon, one pregnant lady Salma Begum wife of Shoukat Jan of Mandian, Keran having medical complications was airlifted in Indian Air Force chopper from Keran to Srinagar and admitted in Lal Ded hospital.
Despite hostile weather the pilot flew his chopper to save the life of the lady. Chief Medical Officer, Srinagar provided ambulance for ferrying the patient from Airport to the hospital.
