Div.Com reviews Eid-ul-Milad (S.A.) arrangements in Dargah Hazratbal

Srinagar, December 25, (Scoop News)-In connection with arrangements being made for celebration of ensuing Eid-Milad-un-Nabi (S.A.) the Divisional Commissioner, Kashmir Rohit Kansal visited the Asari-Sharief Dargah Hazratbal, Srinagar today and convened a joint meeting of divisional administration and Waqaf Board members here today. The Divisional Commissioner while reviewing the arrangements being made by the administration stressed upon the officers for providing every basic facilities to the devotees such as transport, un-interrupted power and drinking water supply, sanitation, medical facilities and other basic amenities.
The Divisional Commissioner enjoined upon the Traffic Department to streamline the traffic arrangements to facilitate the devotees and ensure better transport facilities. He directed Commissioner, Srinagar Municipal Corporation to ensure sanitation in and around the Dargah Hazratbal and also to take up repairs and renovation of public toilets in the area. He also stressed upon Chief Engineer, Electric Maintenance, Kashmir for installing diesel generator sets to ensure power back up. He also directed the Chief Engineer, PHE for installing additional water taps in Dargah. The Divisional Commissioner also directed upon the Health authorities for deployment of additional doctors and para medical staff to facilitate the devotees for providing the medical facilities.
He directed the Chief Medical Officer, Srinagar for establishing 2 temporarily medical camps in Dargah. The Divisional Commissioner enjoined upon the authorities of CA&PD for providing sufficient quota of Rice, atta and sugar so that the people do not suffer.
The meeting was attended by Inspector General of Police, Kashmir, A. G. Mir, Dy. Commissioner, Srinagar, Farooq Ahmad Shah, Director, CA&PD, Kashmir, Bilal Ahmad Bhat, Chief Engineer, PHE, PWD, Electricity and Maintenance, Kashmir, Joint Director Information, Kashmir and other officers.
