DMDK is a rapidly growing regional political party in Tamil Nadu, a strong political force to be reckoned with but never to be taken lightly.
For the past few days with the difference of opinion creeping in between PMK and the ruling party DMK, a new polarization of political parties and alliances was speculated, as if PMK was going out to join the AIADMK front and DMDK would be coming into the DMK front.
To end all speculation, Desiya Murpokku Dravida Kazhagam leader Vijayakant on Sunday asserted that his party would not join any alliance for the Lok Sabah polls, saying that he had the courage to contest alone.
Addressing a meeting organized to induct hundreds of cadres from various parties into the DMDK, Mr.Vijayakanth called upon the people to defeat both the DMK alliance and the AIADMK alliance in the elections.
He also called upon the people if they get a color television by becoming the member of the DMK, called upon them to do it by paying Rs 5, but also called upon them to vote for the DMDK.
Mr.Vijayakanth said industrialization was being done at the cost of agriculture and farmers are being forced to sell their lands that would lead to a massive hike in the rise of food items.
Stating that he would not have launched a political party, if the other parties had served the people better. Mr.Vijayakanth said that no one could prevent him from becoming the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu.
‘No one has the moral right to say that I cannot become the Chief Minister’ Mr.Vijayakanth said.
