Different couples have different opinions on this matter. I found some while reading a magazine and wanted to post a few which I thought were thought-provoking.
# 1. There is a famous saying that Love is blind. Hence true love will transcend all age barriers. But at the end of the day, when one sees the reality, in light of the society, he/she will find that age matters….
#2.Yes age difference does influence a relationship. But when I say influence I am not just saying negative. Sometimes due to age different,. the couple can have two different points of views which is quite helpful because you can get different perspectives on life!
My husband is some 10yrs elder to me. We had a love marriage, and a successful relationship…share a wonderful understanding…I get his expert and matured advises all the time and with us together, our love is warm, young and ever green……..I also make him do things he might have done 10yrs back and he enjoys it!!!! In fact he is very dependable and stable opposed to my frivolity and we gel very nicely!
#3.Hey, I am in a relationship with a woman 7 years older to me (me 24, she 31). We get along perfectly well.
# 4.Age difference cannot affect a love relationship as much as how it can a marriage relationship and there are obvious reasons behind the two there can be a full debate session on this topic but here in this forum all I can say is that age has nothing to do with love, love is what just happens and age has nothing to do with love it may affect when love demands commitments.
#5. I have learnt from life that there should be at least 3 to 4 years difference in the ages of husband and wife and that the husband should be the older one. A lesser difference more often than not creates a lot of problems as husbands want to be treated as the head many a times, not as equals.
