If you are one of the many who has never heard of God, never heard of Jesus, or, the Holy Bible, you probably believe that once you die and are dead, you’ll end up in some coffin and some hole in the ground and that will be the end of it. This is only partially true as you will see, as you read on.
Atheists and Agnostics, although they have heard of God, and possibly Jesus, have deliberately chosen to turn their backs to the truth, and they too believe that oneday, they will be buried or cremated and that’s the end of that. They are food for the worms. Ultimately sorrowfully this is probably true.
There are even many "Would Be Christians" studying in the Faith and learning about the Word of God, who have not as yet learned the truth of "Dying".
God is willing to share His knowledge on any topic that we might seek to ask about. God will freely share with anyone who asks it of Him. God has incorporated His knowledge and His Wisdom in His Holy Word, The Holy Bible, and anyone seeking it can and will find it.
Let’s see now just what God has to say about dying and death.
First permit me to make one thing perfectly clear. We were, we are created fist and fore-most as "Spirit Beings" created by God thousands of years ago. See JERIMIAH: 1:5
As spirit, God places us inside a physical body of flesh for a chosen period of time, to if we so choose, serve Him carrying out God’s Holy Will as Human.
If we choose to serve God as Human, each day is another step forward along God’s chosen path for us, eventually leading us back to Heaven and back to God, where our journey began.
Let us take a look in the scriptures of God’s Holy Word to see, the truth as revealed by God.
Through the prophet ISAIAH: 26: 8; God tells us that God will swallow up death as a part of His victory and that God Himself will wipe away every tear off all the faces, and, take away all of the rebuke of God’s People shall He remove from all the earth.
If dead is dead and we are but food for the worms, there would be no need for God to do this for His People. There would be no tears to dry, and no rebuke suffered by anyone would matter, because we are no longer living for it to matter.
With these four verses God points out to us that when our body dies, death is not final, life goes on as we walk with God.
In JOHN:6:39-40 Jesus declares to the Apostles; "And this is the Father’s will which hath sent me, that all which he hath given me I should lose nothing, but should raise it up again at the last day. And this is the will of Him that sent me, that everyone who believeth on him may have everlasting life: And I ‘Will’ raise him up on the last days.
Here Jesus, God’s Holy Word, tells His Apostles that they shall be raised up to be with Jesus on an appointed date and time, and furthermore, all who believe in Christ and follow Him and His teachings as Christians ‘Will’ be raised up to be with Jesus. This is not a maybe or might be, it ‘Will’ happen for God has said so, and God cannot and does not lie.
The Apostle Paul relating what Jesus had revealed to him, explains to the people of Corinth at l CORINTHIANS: 15: 50-54; explaining that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God, but when we die we will be transformed back into our "Spirit" selves, shedding our human corruption and taking on our spirit incorruption and instead of being "Mortal beings in the flesh, we will become spiritual and immortal once again.
The Apostle John the Beloved, was given a Revelation by Jesus the Alpha and Omega which John was commanded to reveal to all of the 7 churches and to all of the peoples of God.
In REVELATION: 20: 12-14; It is revealed to John, by Jesus, the spirits of all the dead standing before God, and the book of life is opened, and all are judged. All the dead from the graves, the sea, even those cremated and all are judges. Jesus also tells John to tell us his faithful followers that death and hell are cast into the lake of fire, and whosoever’s name appeared not in the Lamb’s Book of Life were also cast into the Lake of Fire.
So through God’s Holy Word it is revealed to us that, Yes, our body will and must die one day, but because we are actually "Spirit" beings simply living in the flesh for a time, our physical body will die but we will live on as spirit.
Death is not a finality, it is merely a passing from one state into another. There is no cessation of consciousness as we pass from our human finiteness, into our spiritual infinity to rejoin our creator Almight God.
As Paul tells us in ll CORINTHIANS: 5: 8; "We are confident, I say and willing rather, to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord."
I don’t know if that is exciting for you or not but for me it is. I look forward to the day that I am no longer confined to existing in flesh and blood and can soar back to My Father God in heaven in the twinkling of an eye. This would be my prayers answered in full.
There are many other scriptures I could touch on concerning this topic, each one is as important as the ones I’ve used but I only need a few to prove that there is definitely a "Life After Death" therefore death is nothing to fear or avoid.
