Don Gorske has a diet that would make almost anyone cringe. "90 percent of my solid diet is probably the Big Mac," the man from Fond Du Lac, Wisconsin says. He has eaten at least one of the hamburgers from McDonald’s every day since May 17, 1972.
Don Gorske not only eats a Big Mac every day, but he keeps track of how many he has eaten by saving the receipts, that’s why he knows he recently ate Big Mac number 23,000.
Gorske’s Big Mac diet doesn’t seem to be doing as much damage to his body as one might think. He was featured in the 2004 film, Supersize Me, in which reporter Morgan Spurlock eats at McDonald’s for 30 days to see how it affects his body. Don Gorske looks lean and fit, even as he "celebrates" his 19,000th Big Mac on camera with Spurlock.
Nobody would deny that Don Gorske’s Big Mac habit, both in his eating and detailed monitoring, is at least partially caused by obsessive compulsive disorder. In 36 years, the only day he missed eating a Big Mac was the day his mother died to honor her request.
