SDC and CIDA donors visited Madaglasht area.
CHITRAL: Representatives of Livelihood Program, Swiss Development Agency (SDC) and Chitral Innovative Development Organization (CIDO) visited Madaglasht area the most beautiful but backward and remote locality of the area. Team comprising over Shabeer Hussain, Khalid Hussain, Fiaz Ahmad of Livelihood Program (LP) along with Sohrab Khan Nazim Union council Sheshi Koh and Forest Range Officer Qazi Siraj who visited the area to launch their projects for poverty alleviation. Besides them Irshad Gul, Miss East of inter cooperation Urjuman Nizami of SDC also visited Non Formal Education (NFE) School at Apanch village which had launched by Young Star Development Organization (YSDO) for increasing literacy ratio in the area. The team visited livelihood assessment and analyzed how to improve it. They also meet local community where a question answer session was also held. This is an initiative step for alleviation of poverty in which different proposals would be identified by CIDO and YSDO. Livelihood program working for poverty reduction funded by SDC through Inter cooperation. Asfandiar Khan President of YSDO announced of rupees 7000 for school children who participated in different functions.
This is an initial step to improve agriculture and forest of the area to provide source of income and livelihood to local community through introducing difference schemes.
