Srinagar, May 25 (Scoop News) –Granting a major relief to Bashir Malik, Director, Doordarshan News, Srinagar, the Delhi High Court passed an order restraining Bashir Manzar, Rouf Rasool, and Rashid Paul of “Kashmir Images” and also Shabnam Vijpari, Bilal Ahmed Reshi along with other unknown persons from making any defamatory and derogatory remarks in news publication against Malik,said in a statement
Statement said that Malik who is known as an unparalleled anti-militancy hero of Doordarshan was in headlines of Kashmir Images for quite sometime, but surprisingly this time on allegations of Corruption. Ashok Bhasin, Senior Advocate assisted by Anubhav Bhasin from Luthra and Luthra Law Offices appearing on behalf of Malik apprised the Hon’ble Court that there is no question of allegations of corruption against his client, as the defamatory remarks being made by the Defendants are completely baseless and are being made with the sole object to harm the reputation of Malik before the world at large.
Justice Manmohan Singh of Delhi High Court observed that the Plaintiff has been able to make out a strong prima-facie case for grant of an exparte ad -interim injunction in his favour. Justice Manmohan Singh was pleased to issue notice to the Defendants directing them to appear on the next date of hearing and in addition to that passed interim orders restraining the defendants from making any derogatory remarks about Malik without any clear documentary evidence till the next date of hearing.
