DOR Bannu distribute Rs.3.625 mn cheques among victims of terrorism

District Officer Revenue Bannu Muhammad Javed Khan Marwat Tuesday distributed Rs.3.625 million cheques among the family members of the militancy affected people of the district here at his office.

            According to the details, Rs.100,000 cheques were given to the legal heirs of the martyrs’, Rs.50000 cheques to the seriously wounded while Rs.25000 cheques were given to minor injured in various incidents of blasts and suicide attacks in the district. These cheques were provided on behalf of the Provincial government.

            Talking to the affectees on the occasion, District Officer Revenue said that money can not be substitute for life but it was an effort of the Provincial government to give small compensation to the militancy hit people.

            He expressed sympathies with family members of the deceased saying that human beings were helpless in certain matters and patience was the best remedy in such circumstances.

            DOR Bannu prayed Allah Almighty to help in maintaining peace in the country and especially in NWFP.

            Apart from others, elders of the area and collector Revenue Department Bannu Shakoor Dawar were also present in the event.
