Driver Killed by Bus Rammed into a Waiting Shed while Trying to Save a Child

Kerala State Road Transport Driver driver was killed when the bus rammed into a waiting shed while trying to save a child in front of the hospital in Fathima Thumba.

The driver of Vikas Bhavan depot has been identified as K M Sali (32) of Cherthala Thaikal Kakkara. The accident happened when the driver of the bus lost control while trying to save a cyclist and rammed into the shed before the St Andrews Junction. The driver, who was trapped in between the bus and the slab, was retrieved by the Fire Force and the JCB. Though he was taken to the hospital, his life could not be saved.
Two passengers, who received minor injuries, have been admitted to the medical college hospital. A major tragedy has been averted as there was nobody in the bus stand.
