Dunga Braces For Injury Storm

Coach Dunga called up Sevilla defender Dani Alves as Afonso Alves suffered an injury and will be unavailable for the upcoming World Cup qualifiers against Peru and Uruguay.

Alves suffered an injury this weekend for his club Heerenveen. Dunga will only count on two forwards next week as Wágner Love and Robinho will be up front. Meanwhile it was speculated that Barcelona star Ronaldinho could be out for the next two match weeks as he came away from the Catalan side’s match against Getafe not only defeated, but also injured. The Brazilian Football Confederation did not make a statement about the issue and will make a decision on the matter as soon as the midfielder arrives to Brazil.

Brazil will head to Lima to face Peru on Sunday and then will host Uruguay in what promises to be one of the marquee matchups of Matchday 4 in the CONMEBOL qualifiers.
