Dynastic rule dangerous for J&K state & nation: BJP

Jammu, October 26 (Scoop News)-On the occasion of 66th Accession Day of the State, BJP celebrated the accession day by organizing ceremonial programme at the venue of Maharaja Hari Singh statue overlooking Tawi Bridge. The programme started by laying wreaths at the statue and obeisance by BJP leaders and workers. Several people from also joined the party programme as a mark of their respect to late Maharaja. It was organized by Jammu District BJP under its President Rajesh Gupta.
BJP National Executive Member & Leader of Legislative Party Ashok Khajuria, who presided over the function, said that it is irony that while BJP observes this day at the statue of Maharaja Hari Singh every year, his own family members shy away from doing so and keep themselves busy in other functions. He also mocked Rahul Gandhi for publically shedding tears over the deaths of his grand mother and father thus making fool of himself. He said that the dynastic rule in New Delhi and in the state is dangerous, which needs to be replaced by parties like BJP with Narendra Modi as Prime Minister.
BJP National Executive Member Dr. Nirmal Singh said that Act of Independence was concluded after long deliberations with unanimous assents by the all stake holders. He said that when Pakistan raises question on accession, its very own existence comes under question. He appealed that we should not get into the involved in debate over issues while accession and merger which already stand settled forever adding that the government should also focus on the development and welfare of its citizens instead of making accession an issue.
BJP National Executive Member Shamsher Singh Manhas said that the people should not get misled by the false propaganda of NC and silence of Congress over the accession. He said that statement issued by NC leaders are threat to nation security. He said that every nation loving individual should take pledge on this day to defeat the designs of such forces which pose threat to the integration of the state.
National Executive Member & J&K Chief Spokesperson, Dr. Jitendra Singh, demanded that the “Accession Day” on 26 October should be declared a state holiday and in lieu of it, a notification be issued cancelling the holiday of so-called Martyrs Day on 13 July, which is unconstitutional because when India’s official Martyrs Day on 30 January marking death anniversary of the father of nation Mahatma Gandhi is not a holiday, how has National Conference govt. declared 13 July a Martyrs Day holiday. He said those who say there was accession but no merger of J&K, are not clear in their concept because Instrument of Merger did not apply to J&K.
State General Secretary & former Mayor Kavinder Gupta said that every activists of the party, irrespective of his or her post, should get well acquainted with the legal and constitutional parameters of the accession and reach the masses to present the real facts of the same. He said that the BJP’s commitment for the honour of people like Maharaja Hari Singh can be well judged from the fact that its leader who became first Mayor of JMC took the initiative to get installed the statues of great Dogra rural in Jammu.
Prof. Hari Om, who was the main speaker on the occasion, narrated the sequence of events which finally culminated into signing of historic Instrument of Accession. He said that this day is only celebrated in J&K and we need to go through the roots to know the logic to celebrate the same. He said that the issue of accession is being raised time and again just to divert the attention of the people from real issues, which speaks of the incompetence of the government in providing a people friendly administration. He said that Congress is deliberately creating confusion over the issue for political gains but the BJP will not allow this to happen.
Rajesh Gupta said that in view of the general elections in near future the Kashmir centric political parties like NC and PDP are trying to misled the people raking irrelevant issues with a sole motive to arouse them.
