e-LYNXX Named Top North American Procurement Firm for Third Consecutive Year

Procurement innovator e-LYNXX Corporation has been named by Supply & Demand Chain Executive editors one of the top 100 procurement firms in THE United States and Canada for the third consecutive year.

“This is an honor that we always welcome because it validates the work that we do for the benefit of our clients,” said William Gindlesperger, chairman and chief executive of e-LYNXX Corporation.  “Recognition this year is especially meaningful because it is based on a case study and how we have brought significant value to one of our clients – Matthews, North Carolina-based International Construction Equipment Company.”

ICE® (International Construction Equipment), North America’s largest manufacturer of pile driving and drilling equipment, licenses e-LYNXX’s AVS TechnologyTM and uses e-LYNXX best procurement practices and e-LYNXX’s proprietary SaaS (software as a service) communications and workflow system  to improve its print procurement process and reduce its costs for procured print by 42%.  Print for ICE includes marketing collateral, direct mail, CD replication, training and parts manuals, instruction sheets, labels, packaging, safety materials and promotional give-away items.

“Our print expenses are spread across the company in departmental and branch location budgets. What seemed inconsequential expenses to us, turned out to be substantial.  With the use of e-LYNXX and their services, we are now getting the kind of print procurement assistance we have needed to cut our operational expenses while enabling more cash flow for improved marketing campaigns and still protecting our brand quality,” said P. A. Cunningham, director of marketing for ICE. “To our utter amazement, our print costs have dropped drastically and while improving our quality.  Our savings, comparing apples to apples, average 42%.”

With patents awarded by the United States Patent Office in 2002, 2008 and 2010, AVS Technology is a unique procedure that makes it possible for a buyer to establish a database of pre-qualified vendors (in ICE’s case printers) and then have a computer pull from that database only those vendors capable of doing a particular job based on detailed job specifications that had been entered into the computer so the matching could occur.  AVS is the acronym for automated vendor selection. A savings of 25% to 50% occurs because, in the competitive bidding environment that is created, vendors drop their pricing to fill what would otherwise be open production time or no work.

“Our goal with this year’s ‘100’ is to put the spotlight on successful and innovative transformation projects that are delivering bottom-line value to small, medium and large enterprises across the different functions that comprise the supply chain,” said Barry Hochfelder, editor of Supply & Demand Chain Executive. “The projects featured in the ‘100’ article can serve as a roadmap for supply chain executives looking for new opportunities to drive improvement in their own operations.”

The Supply & Demand Chain Executive 100, highlighting “100 Great Supply Chain Projects,” will be published in the June issue of the magazine and online at www.SCDExec.com/SCDE100.
