Ground Report

 Early voting today in Aventura, Florida required patience as the waiting time reached almost 3 hours. I arrived at midday and I was able to cast my ballot almost 3 hours from the time of arrival. All indications are that Florida voters will come out to vote in record numbers. Early voters at the Aventura, Florida government center passed the time discussing the candidates, and from what I could gather in a totally unscientific personal poll, voters who waited diligently were primarily favoring Obama. A few technical glitcthes appeared, but volunteers assisting the voting process at the government center were quick to keep the waiting voters informed. Apparently there were only 30 voting machines operational, and installed at the Aventura government center. It would appear that long lines may be the order of the day when voters hit the voting sites on election day.
