Earthquake hit Indonesia
Indonesia – Jakarta: Early Thursday an earthquake struck Indonesia’s North Sulawesi province Melongane, the Richter scale shows 7.4. The country’s Meteorology Agency reports, there is no immediate report of casualties or material damage.
The quake struck about 320 kilometers north-northeast of Manado, its epicenter near Talaud Sea. After the earthquake, a tsunami warning immediately sent by the local Meteorology Agency. But it was canceled later.
Following the earthquake, two major aftershocks registered on the Richter scale with its reads 5.6 and 5.9.The local Meteorology Agency has says, , a vulnerable quake-hit zone so called "the Pacific Ring of Fire," where two continental plates meet that cause frequent seismic and vulcnaic movements.
